Welcome to LifeCandy's 1st Birthday Extravaganza!!!

It's time to PAR-TAY!

On October 7, 2007, I registered the domain LifeCandy.net, did a little rerouting here and there, and -- POOF! -- LifeCandy was born!
What was once my CRON health blog became my personal blog of family, friends, health, beauty, greenification, and the joys of being a girl.

In honour of this swankilicious blog's 1st birthday, I'm going to party all week long, and I'm taking you with me!

Over the next 5 days, I'll be looking back at the fun and craziness, the things I've learned, the wonderful folks I've come to know and love, favourite posts and comments, and all the other stuff that's happened over the last year.

So, come on in, put on your party hat, grab a glass of punch, and mingle. There's some sushi, lumpia shanghai, pavlova, and, of course, cake on the table. The DJ's waiting for your requests. Stick around, 'coz the party doesn't end 'til the break of dawn! :)

Check out... Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, and Part 5.

  6. When you say sushi, are you all talking about sushi, or are you slanging it up?

    I'm not sure I do know what you're talking about.

    I mean, it's hard to tell with the written word..

    @albert -
    Ugh! NO!
    Virtual party... pretend sushi...
    NO lesbian stuff happening... not that there's anything wrong with that.

  8. lol that reminds me of the ad I heard on the "guys" radio station here (I listen to it a lot, I'm not sure what that says about me but I'm not sure I care)

    It was an ad for a concert festival weekend or some dang thing and they were talking up all the manly bands and all the automobile activities and a couple of other things that were *really* uber-male-oriented. I instantly thought: "there is absolutely NO way a woman would want to go to that, and if so, why would a hormonally charged youthly male want to go to this as well?" (I'm pretty sure the boys generally don't want to get away from the ladies for a spell until *after* they've landed them - and in my experience, not until after the ladies have performed a similar weekendular escape and the boys are left thinking "hey why can't we do that?" to which the ladies respond: "knock yourself out - I mean, damn I shouldn't have put it that way") What was my point?

    Oh yeah. *Exactly* as I was thinking that "wtf?" rambling above (in the space of about 2 seconds, believe it or not) the announcer said "just in case you were thinking this was a great big Sausage Party, it's not. There will be fabulous ladies there from [Coors Light - or some other group of sexy ladies paid to make said demographic drink more beer]"

    So that was the first time I'd ever heard that term and it's made me giggle ever since. Not until this moment (ok, about 10 minutes ago, when I started this ramble) did I ever wonder if there was a different term for ladies.
