I wasn't certain that I'd blog about this topic because many of my RL friends and family read this blog.
In fact, this topic is the reason why I haven't blogged for a few days. I've needed some introspection time. Well, that, plus I've managed to get my computer infected with something nasty, and have been afraid to touch it ever since fearing it would blow up, scream obscenities at me, or scream obscenities at me *then* blow up. I'm on Roomie's laptop right now.
Anyway, I've ranted up and down how Roomie and I were done at 2 kids. Well, there's a chance we aren't done at 2 kids. We don't know for sure yet. We should know by Sunday. Maybe.
One thing I know for certain: a condom won't work if it's still on the nightstand when you're done. And no, opening the packet doesn't count. You actually have to use it.
Even Roomie, who's always wanted a #3, has had this perpetual "Holy Crap" look on his face.
He's joked that all he has to do is look at me and I'd be pregnant. Now, we're afraid he might be right, and we'll have to poke his eyes out as a means of birth control.
If I am, I know I'll fall in love with it instantly, as I did the other two. But if I'm not, you can bet we'll be more careful in the future.
Stay tuned...
Wow, I am amazed by the depth of your commitment to your blog! The lengths you go to in order to get something interesting to write about are admirable!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, I think. Not quite certain how to respond to your uncertainty.
And let me be the first to make some inappropriate comments! :-)
Woo-hoo! A hat trick! Wait a second, the referees are going upstairs for a review of the play. We'll just wait until they get the decision.
And no, it's not the eyes that get poked as a means of sterilizing hubby... a quick little google with the words "vasectomy poke" pops up numerous references to no-scalpel, no-needle procedures. Perhaps it's too late for this time, but who knows, hubby might be in the mood once or twice more in the next 50 years.
And the third one's a breeze compared to number 1 and number 2.

ReplyDeleteyes, the 3rd being the easiest is what mrs. b told me...
why don't you tell Roomie about the "poke"... he'll love it! ;)
hey, man, a blog on Blogger is considerably cheaper than therapy :)
No matter what happens things always have a way of working out. I leave things like that to the big guy in the sky because he always seems to know a whole lot more about things than i do :-)
ReplyDelete@albert -
ReplyDeleteoh, and I forgot to add: Hey, anything for you folks! I'll make a major life change, just to make you guys smile ;)

I agree... if we're meant to have 3, we're meant to have 3. It's a destiny thing. Just like the morning we conceived Mini, I could've sworn I heard a little voice saying "I'm on my way, mommy". I'm completely serious. It was like she was waiting.
Not to completely freak you out, but that's how my 3rd was conceived, sort of. I KNEW it was a bad day for us to be having a little fun. As you noted in your case, the signs were there. I knew it. The next morning, I told the hubby, "That was a really bad night for us to have just done that." He laughed.
ReplyDeleteTwo weeks later I told him I was pregnant and he didn't believe me. I said, "I told you . . ."
Colin is now 8 months old. I'm done this time for sure though!
BTW, I've been reading your new blog and love it!
Amy
Oh, they all totally read it. You're busted now!
ReplyDeleteWell, that's some very exciting news!
ReplyDeleteI will be waiting patiently for the final results.
Hey, and some of that baby stuff that left your place is here! We can always bring it back.
xo
Oh, and if you need one... pregnancy tests are $1 at Dollarama!
ReplyDelete@amy -
ReplyDeleteit's great to hear from you, Amy!... even if it is with news to freak me out ;)
@credit card debt help -
well, if it were a real secret, I wouldn't be stupid enough to blog about it.
@myrtle -
I'm totally freaking out!... but thanks for the support, girlfriend :)
And thanks for the dollarama heads-up... who knows... it may not come to that! :)
I hope that this works the way that you want it to. I know that I would also be freaking out, so I can completely sympathize. Good luck waiting.

ReplyDeleteThanks! Yes, the waiting is the hardest... the uncertainty. I'd like to know, so I can either celebrate because we have another one coming or celebrate that we are still a family of 4. :)
Ahh geez... well, um, I'm awkward as usual, even in writing. But, I hope everything works out, Nenette!
ReplyDeleteEither way, I know you will be fine. Our youngest was a surprise and she is the most wonderful child imaginable.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and let us know when you know.
What about Dr Hibbert's idea?

wtf??? I go away for a week & ... this? :-D
ReplyDeleteTotally jazzed. Just at the prospect. The fact that you're open to it. The fact that you're sharing!
Wow, that "Holy Crap" expression. I remember that. It doesn't go away (with a positive result). It subsides, but still (three years later) shows up once in a while.
And... so... um... It's Sunday now (or Monday, technically)... so...?

ReplyDeletethanks, friends... means a lot :)

Mr. Bannatyne, I am shocked! :)
