Random Thoughts.
+ I've always wanted to build a "basics" wardrobe, and this will push me to start.
+ Because of my FatBet project, I'll likely need to get rid of many of the ill-fitting clothes in my closet anyway.
+ I want to kick Pareto's 80-20 principle in the bum.
+ I may have totally screwed myself for the up-coming holiday season.
+ The fact that I'm a girl may have serious implications on this project, but the fact that I work from home in my lounge wear will hopefully level that playing field.
+ I'm not including my summer clothes, which have been sadly packed away for the season, so this is strictly fall/winter stuff.
+ When I was making my list, I found myself thinking that, if I only had 33 clothes to wear, they all had to count. And so many of my clothes didn't make the cut, but I'd rather have less than 33 items than have several items I wouldn't want to wear. I wondered if I had to actually go shopping!

I signed up for the challenge. One thing I noticed when I was picking clothes I automatically discarded any clothes that didn't fit perfectly or I wasn't completely comfortable in (then I wondered why I bother keeping clothes like that at all). That really reduced the amount I left myself to choose from.
Can't wait to see how you do! A very interesting challenge
Way to go, what a neat challenge!
nice...might have to put my wife onto this one...dropped over from the cyberhouse...
This post has caused me to break out in a sweat... I don't think I could do this! Okay, if I had to do this, I'd make sure my 33 were all items of clothes. NOT including accessories or shoes our outerwear or panties or bras. THEN, maybe, I could this challenge, too! GOOD LUCK, N!
@Carrie: oh yeah, I did that too -- the wondering why I'd kept something all this time. this really is a great exercise.
@Su: I'll try to keep you all posted on clothing combinations, any swap outs, or if I just freak out and drop out! Which I'll try not to do. :)
@Emily Jane: Thanks! I'm rather excited by it. And a little scared too. lol
@Brian Miller: I recommend it. It encourages one to dress more mindfully.
@Loukia: Panties and bras don't count! You can have as many of those as you'd like. But yeah, after the *packing for Blogher* dilemma you had -- and how you almost had heart palpitations! -- it might be a good idea for you to pass on this challenge. :) xo
Wow, good for you. I would so fail this. And I would need to go shopping...
Work duds, casual stuff, running stuff, blah blah blah.
I am gonna go look at my closet(s) now - could I do this??
