share & win: the biopic edition

Ever imagine being so famous (or infamous!) that Hollywood decides to make a movie of your life?

I have. My movie would be a romantic-comedy, focusing on my fun and fabulous love affair with Roomie. I'd throw in a bit of erotica for some spice, but I'm sure our RL friends would think that's just too big of a creepy-assed window into their friends' lives and not watch the movie!
I'd be played by the beautiful and multi-talented Tia Carrere (can you see it?), and my love interest would be played by Gerard Butler (purely for the hotness, of course!).

This is purely fantasy, friends, so get creative!

  1. As long as we're taking liberties with reality (that my life will be made into a movie) can I take liberites with the plot? How about the time period? Because my movie has already been made and it's in your banner (I'm pretty sure it's there for me you sly dog, you!)

Tia Carrere? Nice. I can see it. Gerard Butler? meh... I've never seen it, myself.

My own life, I've never thought about too much... I think I used to like Helen Hunt. Mr. H has always said Bill Murray for him. which is bizzare, because there's no physical or personality resemblance. Personally, I'd select Adam Levine for his role and then after an *exhaustive* worldwide search turning up no suitable candidates, I'd play myself ;-)

Oh, and it would be a political thriller, with nerdy undertones. Or overtones, I haven't decided.

What a fun idea! I can definitely see Tia! Nice pick :-)

As for me, I'm most certain my movie would be a dramedy (Drama/comedy). Think Juno-like but with a lot more drama.

I think Drew Barrymore would have to play me as she's who I relate to most. As for the men in the movie, probably Sean Patrick Flanery and Jason Priestly (yes from 90210!). It's hard to say these days, but it is my movie right?! He he!

  3. I guess it would probably be a drama, unfortunately, but I'd really rather it would be a Spy Mystery, so let's go with that.
I'd be played by Julia Stiles or Kirsten Dunst, and my character surrounded by an air of mystery while she saves the world by defeating one baddy at a time, meanwhile decrypting and hacking websites and companies with her geeky prowess. My love interest (i.e. The Bionic Hubby) would be portrayed by Matthew Goode or possibly an older Daniel Radcliffe since they resemble the BH.

    Thanks for the contest Nenette!

  4. Oh damn, I just realized this after I hit the "publish comment" button- I guess they could just make a Bionic Woman movie (a non-sucky version unlike the recent TV series) and I'd be happy to make that "my movie". :D

Unfortunately, I can't join due to location. ;-) But this is a fun contest indeed. Can't think of who I'd like to play me. Maybe a more mellow Lucy Liu or a shorter Zhang Ziyi. :-D Or, I can play myself. Hehe. Partner: Hmmm... Tough one. Maybe an English version of Chris O'Donnell or Ewan MacGregor. A romantic drama/comedy.

It's a dance drama/thriller! I like the suspense of thrillers, but the dancing is a must--it could set the scene.

Love interest is Michael DeLorenzo, obscure I know, but I've always had a thing for him and I do like the Latin men. And he can move! He started out with Fame.

I'm going with Diane Lane, a la hot and steamy Unfaithful, to play me!

  7. My life would be best characterized by a romantic/comedy, with a plot similar to "When Harry Met Sally," but substitute out Billy Crystal with Tom Hanks, and Meg without the Botox.

We became friends in college and took off in different directions but had always been secretly attracted to each other. Life plays itself out, and at some future point we reconnect and fall deeply in love. And throw in that we meet on the "Queen Anne" like in the original Cary Grant/Deborah Kerr version of "An Affair to Remember." When the cruise ship stops in a port along the way, our lives are changed forever. During the visit with his grandmother, we realize that we have fallen in Love. When returning to the States, we pact to meet at the Empire State Building in six months, but we will remove the tragic pedestrian accident. In six months we have a glorious reunion, marry and live a jet set life between NYC and our villa on the Greek Island of Crete.
