I've been talking for a couple of years now about teaching a summer hula/tahitian workshop. Well, I think the summer of '08 is it.
I'm planning to have it on a Sunday afternoon in July, so if you are in town, please mark the... month? Yeah, I haven't decided which Sunday... plus, weather, etc. Many factors. Oh, and the town I'm talking about is Winnipeg, Canada.
I'm still deciding how to work this... do we have a studio with a formal class (paid lesson)?... or do we have it in the park as a potluck luau with a complete hula/tahitian class (free lesson)?
If you haven any ideas of what you'd like to take part in this summer, let me know!

I think hula in the park would be nice, but you should still charge.

I've always dreamed of seeing a bunch of hula dancers on the grounds of the Legislature... :-)
WE were just thinking about hitting Winnipeg this weekend but I thought I don't want to visit when it's a three day weekend!!

good point, pinsan! hmmm... might be cheaper if I did it myself... do you think the park people would notice a big imu pit near the conservatory? :)
Wow, Nenette! What a big accomplishment, teaching your own class. Very proud of you! I'd totally take it if I was going to be in that area. :)

well, I used to teach classes with my own hula school, so this summer workshop really isn't as big of an accomplishment in comparison. :)
some of my old students and others who've contacted me over the past year and a half since I closed the school have been asking for a beginner/refresher workshop, so here it is! :)
